Marin Svić graduated from the Faculty of Law in Zagreb in 2004 and started working as a trainee in 2005
at the Law Firm Divjak, Topić & Bahtijarević as part of their M&A team. Marin passed the bar exam in
2007.
In 2008, Marin became a business support manager (legal and general affairs, human resources) at
iNovine d.d., which was a part of Adris grupa d.d. at that time. During that time, Marin acquired valuable
experience in understanding the way joint stock companies function, their interaction with the Zagreb
Stock Exhange, shareholders, cross-border transactions and all mutual relations which normally exist
between companies within a corporate group.
Marin enrolled as a lawyer with the Croatian Bar Association in 2010 and, together with his colleague and
friend Marko Praljak, founded the Law Office of Praljak & Svić within which he advises domestic as well
as international (multinational) clients in numerous legal matters which corporations encounter on a daily
basis.
In his work, Marin is especially dedicated to matters concerning commercial and competition law, M&A,
labor law and the recent issues concerning unfair trading practices in the food supply chain, and has
participated in complex arbitral proceedings on matters on which the Croatian judicial practice has not
yet taken a legal position.
In his everday work, Marin communicates in English and also uses some basic Italian.
